Measure Volume in Intel® Insight Platform

To create the volume measurement, draw a polygon around the base of what you want to measure. Next, the volume is calculated using the DSM. The lowest point of the polygon is taken as the height reference to define an axis aligned plane.

Follow the steps below to measure the volume of an area:

1. Create a project in Intel® Insight Platform.
2. Generate 2D and 3D models through photogrammetry.
3. Make volume measurement once the Orthomosaic and DSM show as available.

   

   1. Locate the area that you want to measure in your project.

      

   2. Select the Polygon tool and draw around the base of the area that you want to measure. Double-click on the last point where you finished the drawing. Note: Use Chrome browser for best results.

      

   3. Select the compute volume button on the right tool bar.

      

   4. Next, results will display.
