Gigabit Ethernet physical layer (PHY) controllers provide high-performance gigabit network connectivity with support for Intel® vPro™ technology and Software Solutions and User-centered Design (SSUD) technology. Package size is as small as a compact 6x6 mm, and the PHY controllers allow for simple installation and maintenance and flexible board design options. This is a high performing PCI Express*-based product family for mobile, desktop, workstation, and value-server designs. They enable improved battery life for mobile designs with integrated Intel® Auto Connect Battery Saver. The Intel® 82578DM, 82577LM, 82567LM, 82566DM, and 82566MM Gigabit Ethernet PHY support Intel® Active Management Technology (Intel® AMT).
