Open Data Center Alliance Publishes Usage Models
The Open Data Center Alliance (ODCA) has released eight usage models that define the most urgent requirements for the cloud. The usage models are designed to help member organizations with purchasing and defining cloud requirements with vendors and solution providers. Two usage models address the challenges of cloud security and outline requirements for security capabilities to be delivered and monitored. ODCA is collaborating with the Computer Security Alliance (CSA) to identify requirements for these two usage models. ODCA was first formed in October 2011 and has quickly grown to 280 members. The quick release of the eight cloud usage models shows the importance of defining standards and requirements for cloud adoption.
